I am curious about whether the checkout of a film's Original Sound Track (OST) has a relationship with its music award result.So, by focusing on the case of a famous film composer, Hans Zimmer, I did my research on it.

Feminism was named as the word of year for 2017 by the Merriam-Webster dictionary. The online searches for the word, feminism, has exponentially increased by 70% compared to the previous year in 2016. Searches for the term found its largest spike following up to the Women’s March in January.

The most recent anniversary of the Women’s March has inspired me to extract data that includes similar phrases like ‘feminism’ or ‘feminist’ from the Seattle Public Library (SPL) database. I am exploring specific checked-out items that contains these similar phrases in the title. My objective is to explore whether or not the rising popularity of feminism have made a direct impact to the items being checked-out in the Seattle Public Library.

As a bitcoin enthusiast, I decided to use this project as a method to see how the visitors of the Seattle Public Library feel about bitcoin.

The Harry Potter series is a popular series in 2000s. The book series started from 1997 and ended in 2007. The film series started from 2001 and ended in 2017. I am interested in the relationship between the numbers of check-out of book version between the numbers checkout of movie version. In specific, I want to know if the book will be checked out more times when a new movie is released or a DVD version is released.
