Re: Proj 2 - 3D Visualization

I want to create a dynamic self-organized flocking simulation based on books been checked out at the same time. I assume it would be interesting to see: Book titles with a specific keyword may contain different Dewey classes and different subjects Books checked out with these books may contain a bro...

Concurrency Based Unidirectional Correlations

The Question I wanted to look at pairs of bibliographical items that were borrowed together and measurement that can be established based on this concurrency. I believe this is interesting as it will review circulation history and correlate items even though they have irrelevant metadata. From an a...

Re: wk10 - DALLE-2, Final Review Dec 1, 2022

Dalle2 Experiments My previous tests failed on using long, ambiguous text as prompts, so this is a continue exploration in this direction in Dalle2. Following texts are excerpted from Lebbes Woods' article "CELEBRATING DEATH" https://lebbeuswoods.wordpress.com/2012/03/18/celebrating-death/ Prompt: ...

Re: wk7 - Stable Diffusion - 2nd set, Nov. 10, 2022

Text2Light Test: It seems this version of stable diffusion does not understand prompt well. Although images persist to be panorama, their content does not follow the guidance from prompts. Prompt: A stunning detailed shoggoth by zdzisław beksiński, stormy ocean, beautiful lighting, full moon, detail...

Re: wk6 - Stable Diffusion 1 - Nov 3, 2022

Stable Diffusion produces very consistent results for the same prompts. Therefore this experiment is straightforward to see how factors affect the image. Images are produced at https://lexica.art The sequence of the prompts matter, each following prompt will build its influence upon the previous one...

Re: wk3 - MidJourney Imgs + Analysis Report

From my past experiments, I realized strict control with predetermined expectations often leads to failure in MidJourney. My assumption is, MidJourney should be used as an inspirational tool rather than a production assistant in the design process - it helps the author to formalize ideas, brings his...

Re: wk2 - MidJourney 2nd project

The goal for this week is to explore how MidJourney can assist architecture design and how designers can control the design process. The tool needs to be able to produce consistent iterations from a single design and provide flexibility to control details in the image. Initial test: brutalism, futur...
