For this assignment you are asked to respond to issues that Vilem Flusser raises in his book "Toward A Philosophy of Photography". The article linked online at http://books.google.com/books/about/Tow ... 0Wo5b_il0C discusses photography as the new cultural form of writing.
To help you focus, read the comments by Mark Amerika, Sean Cubitt, and Siegfried Zielinksi to provide some thoughts about general questions of: "What is a digital image", "What is the cultural impact", "What are new roles of technical image transformations"? (click on "photography_beyond" to download the pdf.
Begin your talk by a quote from the articles that your presentation responds to. Give a short presentation in class based on an idea from the Flusser articles or from the comments. the presentation can be Power Point and feature artists we have covered in class, or a Photoshop process.
