Building upon the research and explorations conducted throughout this quarter, this final project delves into the semantic symbols present in two of Jorge Luis Borges's works: The Immortal and The Circular Ruins. Key thematic elements such as dreams, labyrinths, rivers, deserts, cities, and palaces are visualized through AI image tools like Stable Diffusion and Midjourney.
In terms of artistic inspiration, I drew on the works of Andrei Tarkovsky, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Zdzisław Beksiński, and Valentin Pavagea to guide the visual aesthetics. The resulting storyboard was then reorganized to ensure visual consistency and address the theme of hallucination. Then the still images are motivated with AI video tools such as Kling, Runway, Hailuo, and Vidu. The final video was edited using Adobe Premiere to achieve the desired cohesion and flow. The video is still a work of progress, and could be found here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rRirGY ... sp=sharing.
